Slocan Blu Starr
Location
The Slocan Gemstone/Graphite property is located in the Slocan Valley of southeastern British Columbia, at the confluence of Slocan River and Little Slocan River .The property is easily accessed via major highways from the nearby towns of Nelson and Castlegar. Virtually all amenities are available in the area. Castlegar airport serves the area with flights to Vancouver and Calgary and a smaller airport in Nelson provides small fixed wing and helicopter support.
The Blu Starr sapphire deposit is one kilometer north of the small community of Passmore, adjacent to Highway 6. The Blu Moon and Sapphire Hill sapphire deposits are located 2 kilometers to the northwest of Blu Starr, near the community of Vallican. The main iolite deposit is located about 2 kilometers north of the Blu Starr area, adjacent to Highway 6. The Tedesco graphite (and garnet) deposits are reached via a series of logging roads, westward from Passmore and Vallican along Little Slocan River to Perry Ridge.
